Capri is an island of cliffs, caves and villas, a short distance from the coast of Naples. It has the famous Blue Grotto, the Faraglioni and two different towns: elegant Capri and quieter Anacapri.
Practical tips
- Ferries leave from Naples, Sorrento and Salerno: a rough sea can stop the Blue Grotto.
- Boat trips are booked at the port: compare prices before choosing.
- In summer the island is crowded: arrive early or stay until evening.
When to go
From May to October; June and September are ideal for sea and climate.
